Abstract:
A method for re-encoding is disclosed, the method comprising: obtaining a first quantisation table from a bitstream including an image which has been encoded using the first quantisation table; obtaining a second quantisation table that consists of elements respectively corresponding to the elements of the first quantisation table, on the basis of a pattern that represents a size distribution of the values of the elements forming the first quantisation table; and re-encoding, using the second quantisation table, a restored image that is obtained by decoding the encoded image using the first quantisation table.
