Abstract:
A method for realizing the playback of multimedia data under the cooperative control of a plurality of terminals is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: receiving a request, sent by a first terminal, for having multimedia data shared, wherein the request comprises the information on a target terminal(s) and the information on the multimedia data to be shared; storing the identification of the fist terminal according to the request for having the multimedia data shared, and issuing an invitation(s) for sharing to the target terminal(s); after an acknowledgement(s) to the invitation(s) sent by an on-line target terminal(s) is(are) received, storing the information on the on-line target terminal(s) returning the acknowledgement(s) to the invitation(s); and playing the multimedia data towards the stored on-line target terminal(s) by a streaming media server. A playback control agent is also disclosed. The playback control agent comprises specifically a terminal request receiving unit, an information maintaining unit and a playback control request forwarding unit. According to the present invention, by means of the method for receiving the request for having a multimedia service(s) shared from a first terminal and playing the multimedia data towards the target terminal(s) by a streaming media server, it is realized to select an other user(s) by a terminal to share resources.
