Provided in the embodiments of the present invention are a method for receiving data of multiple transmitters having asynchronous clocks and a receiver. The receiver of the present invention comprises: a first input terminal, N first output terminals, N baseband signal recovery modules and a multi-input multi-output equalization module; each baseband signal recovery module comprises two second output terminals, one of the second output terminals of the each baseband signal recovery module is used to output a baseband signal, and the other second output terminal is used to output data enable control information; the multi-input multi-output equalization module is used to control N baseband signals to enter the multi-input multi-output equalization module so as to carry out timing of equalization filter processing according to N pieces of data enable control information, perform equalization filter processing on the N baseband signals using N transmitters as a reference, and acquire recovery data of the N transmitters. The embodiments of the present invention achieve data reception of multiple asynchronous transmitters.
