Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method for transmitting and receiving a reference signal for small cell discovery and, more specifically, to a method for setting a downlink reference signal in order for a terminal to search for an inactive small cell base station. In particular, the present invention provides a method and an apparatus for receiving, by a terminal, a reference signal for small cell discovery, the method comprising the steps of: receiving a reference signal transmitted by an inactive base station; and checking the reference signal using transmission antenna port information and radio resource allocation information of the reference signal.
