Abstract:
A method for recognizing commodity information, and a mobile terminal. The method for recognizing commodity information comprises the following steps: photographing a package surface of a commodity to generate a picture (S101); performing text processing on the picture to obtain commodity information (S102); acquiring the production date and the shelf life of the commodity from the commodity information (S103); according to the production date and the shelf life, calculating an expiration date (S104); determining whether a current date is past the expiration date (S105); if it is determined that the current date is not past the expiration date, notifying a user of how many days remain before the expiration date (S106); and if it is determined that the current date exceeds the expiration date, notifying the user that the commodity has expired and cannot be eaten (S107). The method for recognizing commodity information and the mobile terminal make life easier for a user, and the notification information is accurate.
