Abstract:
In a method for recovering an active metal of a lithium secondary battery, a waste lithium-containing mixture is prepared. The waste lithium-containing mixture is subjected to hydrogen reduction to produce a preliminary precursor mixture. The preliminary precursor mixture is washed with water to produce a lithium precursor comprising lithium hydroxide. High purity lithium hydroxide may be obtained through the washing treatment.
