Abstract:
Provided is a method for recovering gold with which it is possible to increase the amount of gold adsorbed by activated carbon. This method for recovering gold comprises: a step for obtaining a gold leachate by using an acidic leaching solution including chloride ions and/or bromide ions as anions and copper as a cation, and leaching out gold into the acidic leaching solution; and a step for letting activated carbon adsorb the gold in the gold leachate. The method comprises a step for reducing the concentration of monovalent copper ions included in the gold leachate by adjusting the oxidation-reduction potential (reference electrode: silver/silver chloride) of the gold leachate before letting the activated carbon adsorb the gold in the gold leachate.
