Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for recovering lithium, through an electrochemical method, from coal fly ash or waste water generated in a process for producing an active material for a lithium secondary battery, comprising the steps of: (S10) preparing coal fly ash leachate or waste water generated in a process for producing an active material for a lithium secondary battery; (S20) injecting an adsorbent into the coal fly ash leachate or the waste water generated in a process for producing an active material for a lithium secondary battery to prepare a lithium manganese oxide; (S30) injecting the lithium manganese oxide, a conducting material, a binder, and a solvent into a stirrer and stirring the same to prepare a slurry; (S40) coating the prepared slurry on an aluminum or copper foil and drying the coated slurry; electrolytic bath comprising an electrode plate and lithium metal, and ascertaining a reaction potential by cyclic voltammetry; (S60) maintaining the electrolytic bath at the ascertained reaction potential to precipitate lithium on the surface of the electrode plate; and (S70) separating the lithium precipitated on the surface of the electrode plate.
