Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for recovering a polycarbonate resin from a discarded optical disc and/or a recovered optical disc, said optical disc comprising a polycarbonate resin substrate. Specifically, a discarded optical disc and/or a recovered optical disc is crushed, then the thus-crushed material is subjected to chemical treatment, and the following processes (I) and (II) are carried out on the chemically treated material. Process (I): a process which comprises (a) a step in which a magnetic metal foreign material is removed using a magnet, and (b) a step in which a colored foreign material is selected using an optical camera and the colored foreign material is removed Process (II): a process in which the presence or absence of a metal foreign material is detected using a metal foreign material detector and a resin containing a metal foreign material is removed
