Abstract:
A method for recycling cleaning a color cathode ray tube panel is disclosed wherein a graphite layer and a phosphor layer formed on the inner surface of the panel is removed therefrom by washing. In this method for recycling cleaning a color cathode ray tube panel, the phosphor layer is removed by washing the inner surface of the panel with water (step S1), and the graphite layer is removed from the inner surface by washing the graphite layer with a releasing solvent which softens the membrane of the graphite layer (step S2) and by washing the graphite layer with water after the membrane of the graphite layer is softened by the releasing solvent (step S3). The releasing solvent contains an organic polyphosphonic acid compound.
