Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for recycling a lithium-ion battery electrolyte. By means of freezing a used lithium-ion battery and then dissembling same, environmental pollution caused by volatilization and decomposition of the electrolyte can be avoided. The disassembled battery core is placed in carbon tetrachloride so that the electrolyte is completely dissolved in carbon tetrachloride; then, acetonitrile is added to cause the electrolyte solute lithium hexafluorophosphate to form a complex with the acetonitrile, forming stable Li(CH3CN)4PF6, protecting the lithium hexafluorophosphate during negative pressure evaporation and concentration, so as to avoid decomposition thereof. The concentrated liquid is cooled and crystallized, and the precipitated solid is decomplexed by means of a drying treatment, to obtain lithium hexafluorophosphate.
