Abstract:
A method of removing impurities, such as a polymerization solvent and a polymerization monomer, from an inert gas discharged from a polymer production plant and reusing the inert gas in the polymer production plant. There is provided an adsorption removal step wherein an inert gas discharged from a polymer production plant is passed through an adsorbent layer to thereby remove any polymerization solvent and polymerization monomer contained in the inert gas by adsorption. The inert gas having any polymerization solvent and polymerization monomer removed therefrom by adsorption so as to reach a given purity in the adsorption removal step is reused in the polymer production plant.
