Abstract:
A method of reducing the formation of burrs during machining of turbine bucket covers of a turbine assembly includes the steps of inserting a filler material (48) in a gap (44, 46) formed between adjacent bucket covers (22) of a turbine assembly, machining the bucket covers (22) to produce a desired profile (58) for the bucket covers (22), and removing the filler material (48).
