Abstract:
This method for reducing carbon dioxide involves: (a) a step of preparing a carbon dioxide reduction device (300) that includes a negative electrode chamber (302), a positive electrode chamber (305), a solid electrolyte membrane (306), a cathode electrode (301), and an anode electrode (304); and (b) a step of reducing carbon dioxide on the cathode electrode (304) by irradiating the anode electrode (302) with light having a wavelength of 350 nanometers or less.
