Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a method for reducing free calcium oxide in steel slag by using ferronickel slag, and an application thereof. In the method, ferronickel slag and steel slag are mixed and reacted in a hot melting condition by means of waste heat after smelting, without the need of external heat, wherein the mass ratio of the ferronickel slag to the steel slag is 1:0.6-4, and at least one of the ferronickel slag and the steel slag is in a molten state. Compared with the prior art, the present invention has the following advantages: (1) the problem of high f-CaO content in converter steel slag is solved, and the f-CaO content in steel slag treated by ferronickel slag can be controlled to be 3% or below, thus achieving the purpose of reducing swelling thereof in contact with water, and making mixed steel slag more stable and durable in the field of building materials or directly applicable to the building materials industry and the field of road and bridge construction; (2) the use thereof can also be expanded to reduce f-CaO in other metallurgical slag, mixed treatment of two or more types of slag is not excluded, other components can also be added in the mixing process in addition to metallurgical slag, and the content of f-CaO in the metallurgical slag is reduced by means of the incompactness and the low calcium property of the ferronickel slag.
