Abstract:
A method for reducing the rolling force of a twin roll casting production line rolling mill. The method comprises: qualified molten steel is smelted by a converter or an electric furnace and passed through a tundish, a transitional container, and counter-rotating copper casting rollers to form casted strands of a certain thickness, a certain volume of air and a certain volume of nitrogen are introduced into hot vessel #3 of a twin roll casting production line, the content of air can be controlled independently on the upper and lower surfaces so that an extremely thin oxidized layer is provided on the surfaces of the casted strands; which are hot-rolled, then cooled, and rolled into rolls. By means of the method, the oxide layer provided on the surfaces of the casted strands increases lubrication on the surfaces of the casted strands, thus reducing rolling force and extending the service life of the rollers.
