Abstract:
Provided is a method for reducing the thickness of a mass of a water-absorbing material.
Water vapor having a temperature equal to or higher than the boiling point of water is blown against a mass (160) of a water-absorbing material, the mass (160) comprising hydrophilic fibers (21) and highly water-absorbing polymer particles (22) and having a thickness direction, while compressing the mass (160) in the thickness direction.
