Abstract:
In a carbon dioxide recovery process which comprises a carbon dioxide absorption step wherein a gas to be processed containing carbon dioxide and a carbon dioxide absorbing liquid are brought into contact with each other so that the carbon dioxide in the gas to be processed is removed and a regeneration step wherein the carbon dioxide in the rich solution that has absorbed carbon dioxide in the carbon dioxide absorption step is removed for regeneration, the rich solution that has absorbed carbon dioxide is guided, directly in a liquid state, to a membrane separation device (5) that is provided with a zeolite membrane for carbon dioxide separation, said zeolite membrane selectively allowing permeation of carbon dioxide, so that carbon dioxide is separated and removed by pervaporation, thereby regenerating the carbon dioxide absorbing liquid.
