Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for regenerating a diesel particulate filter, and a diesel particulate filter regenerated thereby. A method for regenerating a diesel particulate filter according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a) a temperature-increasing step (S110) of warming up an engine until a coolant reaches a predetermined temperature; b) a regeneration mode conversion step (S120) of converting the state of a DPF to a regeneration mode if the temperature of the coolant after the temperature-increasing step is greater than or equal to a predetermined temperature (T1); c) a regeneration step (S130) of combusting hazardous particulate matter (PM) trapped in the DPF using a high-temperature heat elevated to a target temperature; d) a cooling step (S140) of cooling the high-temperature DPF which has been regenerated through the regeneration step; and e) a normal mode conversion step (S150) of converting the state of the DPF to a normal mode if the temperature of exhaust gas in an outlet of the DPF in the cooling step is less than or equal to a predetermined temperature (T2).
