Abstract:
Provided is a method for regulating the number of maize tassel branches, comprising: constructing an miR529 overexpression vector with two tandem repeating hairpin structures by utilizing T-DNA insertion transgenic technology; transferring the miR529 overexpression vector into an immature embryo of maize inbred line C01 by means of an agrobacterium strain EHA105 to give a plurality of transgenic events; and verifying the plurality of transgenic events by means of PCR, and selecting an independent event with increased expression of miR529 in the tassel by means of Northern blotting. By using the overexpression transgenic technology to improve the expression of miR529, the present invention reduces the number of tassel branches and finally improves the yield per unit area in densely planted maize populations.
