Abstract:

The invention relates to orthopaedics and can be used for preventing and curing backbone diseases and complications thereof and also for developing ergonomic furniture. The aim of said invention is to relieve uniformly the backbone. The inventive method for relieving the backbone while sitting by reducing the load on muscles connected thereto. Said method involves the following actions: each ishial tuberosity is arranged on a separate support, the supports being arranged in such a way that the reciprocal position thereof is adjustable in terms of the inclination angle with respect to a horizontal axis disposed on a frontal plane. The left and right regions of the back disposed on both sides of the backbone rest against separate supporting elements, and the reciprocal position of said supporting elements is adjusted in terms of the inclination angle with respect to a horizontal axis disposed on the frontal plane. The axis, with respect to which the supporting elements interacting with the back are adjusted in terms of the inclination angle, can be arranged on the level between the sixth and ninth thoracic vertebra inclusive.
