Title:
METHOD FOR REMOVING ERYTHROCYTES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/119529
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to solve problems that occur in a method for separating nucleated cells using a filter packed with a cell separation material. More particularly, provided is a cell separation method whereby the contamination ratio of erythrocytes in a nucleated cell fraction can be lowered even in a case of using a conventional filter. Also provided is a cell separation method whereby the collection ratio of leukocytes can be improved even in a case of using a conventional filter. According to the present invention, erythrocytes can be efficiently removed from a cell suspension, which contains the erythrocytes and leukocytes, and the leukocytes can be collected. As a result, side effects caused by the contamination with erythrocytes can be relieved and lowering in the proliferation potency and function of cells in the course of culture can be prevented, which contributes to the wide diffusion of cell therapy.
