Title:
METHOD OF REMOVING HALOGENATED AROMATIC COMPOUND FROM HYDROCARBON OIL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1993/025635
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method of removing halogenated aromatic compounds contained in small amounts in a hydrocarbon oil comprising mainly nonaromatic hydrocarbon oils safety without fail. The method comprises bringing the hydrocarbon oil into contact with a heat-resistant alkaline polar solvent in the presence of an alkaline substance at about 100 °C to about 300 °C and separating the nonaromatic hydrocarbon oils and the solvent from each other.
