Abstract:
This method for removing iron from an iron-containing solution removes iron from an iron-containing solution that includes iron ions, wherein in a mixture obtained by adding a lithium ion cell positive electrode material that contains manganese to an acidic solution of sulfuric acid, and obtaining a positive electrode material-containing solution, followed by mixing of the iron-containing solution into the positive electrode material-containing solution, the manganese ions are caused to precipitate as manganese dioxide, and the iron ions included in the iron-containing solution are caused to precipitate as a solid.
