Abstract:
A method for removing noise from an astronomical image, which can also be used for important photon data processing, such as a full wave at half maximum. The method relates to segmenting, by a flat field, an image comprising an acquired star field, so as to correct the response of a CCD camera to incident light, and after corresponding dark frame removal transformation, performing wavelet transform, curvilinear change, and coefficient thresholding on the processed image. If an appropriate coefficient is greater than a threshold, the coefficient is important; otherwise, the coefficient is not important. The method can effectively eliminate an optical anomaly and inconsistent noise in an astronomical image, especially the noise caused by inconsistent sensitivities in an image enhancer, thereby improving the work efficiency.
