Title:
METHOD OF REMOVING OXYGEN FROM CRUDE CARBON MONOXIDE GAS AND METHOD OF PURIFYING CARBON MONOXIDE GAS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/171882
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method of removing oxygen from a crude carbon monoxide gas while avoiding metal contamination as much as possible. This oxygen removing method removes oxygen from a crude carbon monoxide gas that comprises oxygen as an impurity by contacting the gas with activated carbon (1a) not carrying metal in a catalyst tank (1). Furthermore, the produced gas after oxygen removal is contacted with an alkali aqueous solution (2a) to absorb and remove carbon dioxide, thereby obtaining a purified carbon monoxide gas.
