Abstract:
A method for removing pollutants attached to a target surface, the method comprising: a step for forming a coating film by applying a self-detaching film forming composition containing components (A)-(C) below onto the target surface to which pollutants are attached, wherein the mass ratio (B)/[(A)+(B)] of component (B) to the total amount of component (A) and component (B) is 0.6-0.95; a step for drying the coating film; and a step for removing the pollutants together with the coating film through self detachment of the coating film associated with drying. (A) A polymer including vinyl alcohol as a structural unit; (B) polystyrenesulfonic acid with a sulfonation ratio of 89% or more or a salt thereof; and (C) a volatile solvent.
