Abstract:

A fullerene in which a solvent remains is heated at a reduced pressure of 50 Torr or lower and a temperature higher by at least 150°C than the boiling point of the solvent to thereby reduce the amount of the residual solvent. In order to enable a fullerene to be used in medical-product applications, a residual solvent harmful to the living body is diminished by a simple means and removed to a value not higher than the limit according to regulations.
