Abstract:

Disclosed are: a method for screening a protein capable of interacting with a target substance, comprising the steps of: (a) linking between mRNA and an immobilized puromycin linker that is immobilized on a solid phase to prepare an immobilized mRNA-puromycin linker conjugate, (b) contacting the immobilized mRNA-puromycin linker conjugate with a translation system to synthesize a protein, thereby preparing an mRNA-puromycin linker-protein conjugate, and (c) contacting the target substance with the mRNA-puromycin linker-protein conjugate to select an mRNA-puromycin linker-protein conjugate that contains a protein capable of interacting with the target substance; a protein screening apparatus for use in the screening method; and others. The screening method and the screening apparatus can save in time, cost, complecateness and the like.
