Abstract:
A method for a secure boot checking and an electronic device (100, 700). The method comprises: according to a target step length and the starting address of target data, reading the target data N times, the target data comprising data corresponding to a software package of a software system of an electronic device, and N≥2 (S401); after a jth data reading, performing a jth hash value calculation according to a jth set of data read for the jth time and a result of a j-1th hash value calculation, j being an integer greater than 1 and less than or equal to N (S402); and performing secure boot checking according to a result of an Nth hash value calculation (S403). As such, the jth hash value calculation can be started during reading of a j+1th set of data, so as to achieve the combination of the time for reading the j+1th set of data and the time for the jth hash value calculation, thereby reducing processor waiting time, thus improving the efficiency of secure boot checking, reducing the bootup time of an electronic device, and improving user experience.
