Abstract:
Provided is a method of semi-solid state fermentation for producing surfactin from a mutant strain of Bacillus subtilis subsp. Physical or chemical mutation is conducted on Bacillus subtilis subsp. isolated from Thailand seawater shrimp ponds and the mutant strain of Bacillus subtilis subsp. is screened based on sfp gene expression and then surfactin is produced from the mutant strain by semi-solid state fermentation.
