Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for sensing an air inflow state of an electric water pump and, more specifically, to a method enabling an air inflow state of an electric water pump to be sensed using an Iq current value indicating the torque of a motor. The method for sensing an air inflow state of an electric water pump includes a current measurement step, a variation calculation step, and a determination step. In the current measurement step, the Iq current value of a motor is measured. In the variation calculation step, the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of a current value measured per unit time in the current measurement step is calculated. In the determination step, whether a value calculated in the variation calculation step exceeds a reference value is determined. Additionally, in the current measurement step of the method for sensing the air inflow state of the electric water pump, the current value of Iq can be an Iq current value directed to the motor by a controller.
