Abstract:
The present invention can detect disease infection in plant at an early stage by: using, as a receptor for sensing, a boron-oxygen compound having a specific structure that forms a complex by selectively recognizing methyl salicylate, which is a plant hormone released when a plant is infected with a pathogen; and using changes in fluorescent emission or electrochemical behavior after reacting with the methyl salicylate.
