Abstract:
The present application relates to a method for preparing an iron oxide, the method comprising: adding, as a precipitation additive, one selected from the group consisting of alkali earth metal carbonates, alkali earth metal oxides, and combinations thereof, to an iron-containing mixed metal chloride aqueous solution to selectively obtain an iron-containing precipitate; and subjecting the obtained iron-containing precipitate to heat treatment to obtain an iron oxide, and to a method for preparing an alkali earth metal chloride, the method comprising: separating an iron-containing precipitate, which is formed by adding, as a precipitation additive, one selected from the group consisting of alkali earth metal carbonates, alkali earth metal oxides, and combinations thereof, to an iron-containing mixed metal chloride aqueous solution; and crystallizing the mixed metal chloride aqueous solution with an iron component removed therefrom, to thereby obtain an alkali earth metal chloride.
