Abstract:
A method of selectively removing an acid, e.g., HF, which coexists with an organic acid fluoride unstable to water. The method of separating an acid from a system in which the acid coexists with an organic acid fluoride represented by the formula RCOF (wherein R represents C1−20 linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl or haloalkyl optionally containing a fluorine atom or heteroatom, or C6−20 aryl or haloaryl) is characterized by using as a deacidifying agent an aromatic heterocyclic compound having a boiling point of 50°C or higher and containing a nitrogen atom as a heteroatom.
