Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a method for efficiently separating megakaryocytes from platelets produced from the megakaryocytes; and a platelet separation kit for efficiently separating megakaryocytes from platelets produced from the megakaryocytes. The present invention provides a method for separating megakaryocytes from platelets, the method comprising an incorporation step for incorporating magnetic microparticles into at least megakaryocytes; a culture step for producing platelets by culturing the megakaryocytes on a culture medium before and/or after the incorporation step; a magnetic field application step for applying a magnetic field to the culture medium after the incorporation step and culture step; and a recovery step for recovering the culture medium after the magnetic field application step.
