METHOD FOR SEPARATING AND PURIFYING ASPARTAME AND ASPARTAME DERIVATIVE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1999/029713
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method for efficiently separating aspartame (APM) from APM derivative N-[N-(3,3-dimethylbutyl)-L-$g(a)-aspartyl]-L-phenylalanine methyl ester and thus purifying APM and the above-mentioned APM derivative each at a high purity, which comprises subjecting, for example, an aqueous solution containing APM and APM derivative to column chromatography with the use of a nonpolar highly porous polymer resin.
