Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the technical field of lithium battery recovery. Disclosed is a method for separating and recovering valuable metals from waste ternary lithium batteries. The method comprises the following steps: adding a persulfate to a waste ternary lithium battery powder and carrying out oxidation acid leaching to obtain a leaching liquid and leaching residue; adding an alkali liquid to the leaching liquid, carrying out a precipitation reaction, then adding a sulfide salt and carrying out a reaction, adjusting the pH, and carrying out a precipitation reaction to obtain a nickel hydroxide precipitate and a liquid phase A; adding a carbonate to the liquid phase A, carrying out a reaction, and carrying out a solid-liquid separation to obtain lithium carbonate; and calcining the leaching residue, adding a chlorate thereto and co-heating same, and then carrying out a solid-liquid separation to obtain manganese dioxide. According to the method of the present invention, the persulfate is used as a strong oxidant and the battery powder is leached under acidic conditions; by controlling the pH, the leaching of cobalt and manganese from the battery powder is inhibited, and cobalt and manganese, in the form of manganese dioxide and cobalt dioxide, constitute the leaching residue together with graphite; in addition, all the other metal ions enter the leaching liquid, such that the separation of the metal elements in a first step is achieved.
