Abstract:
A method by which a server acquires text from an image is provided. The method may comprise the steps of: acquiring an image including first text and second text overlapping the first text; separating, from the image, a first text area corresponding to the first text; extracting, from the first text area, pixels corresponding to the first text, in order to acquire a damaged portion and an undamaged portion of the first text; and inpainting, in the image of the first text, the damaged portion of the first text in which the first text is overlapped by the second text, thereby restoring the first text.
