Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method for providing an augmented reality service including the steps of: (a) receiving an image from a camera; (b) performing an image matching operation on the image input from an image matching server; (c) when the image is matched with a specific image from among pre-stored images, determining whether augmented reality can be carried out for the image using the matched result in an API server; and (e) carrying out, by means of a terminal, the augmented reality using content for the augmented reality. According to the present invention, augmented reality can be carried out for various images which are input from a camera, not by storing data required to carry out the augmented reality in a memory space in a limited terminal, but by adopting an image matching technique before carrying out the augmented reality, and receiving, from a server, data necessary for carrying out the augmented reality for a corresponding image.
