Abstract:
Provided is a technique which can provide a new feeling of anticipation for item enhancement, and which can increase the use of an item enhancement service by a user. A method for enhancing items using game traffic, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: enabling an item enhancement server to receive, from a user terminal, an enhancement request for the level of an item with respect to items which have different advantages according to the level thereof and can be used in a game; loading, from a storage space, an enhancement success probability table for the item, which stores an enhancement success probability that is preset according to the level of the item and that raises the level of the item to the next level according to the enhancement results preset for each level; computing the enhancement success probability for the level of the item by using the loaded enhancement success probability table and a numerical value for the traffic in an operating server of the game analyzed during a preset period; and determining whether the enhancement of the item is successful by using the computed enhancement success probability.
