The present invention is a method for a SGSN to transmit information to a mobile station, at the time the SGSN generating the message for transmitting to the mobile station, which method would generate a short message containing the particular content of the message. In this manner, the mobile station can receive the message from SGSN, as well as the message that can display the particular content in the interface, and can solve the proms em of being unable to display the particular content of the message due to the limitation of the mobile station . With this method, a user can obtain an explicit message indication from the SGSN, and can also improve the user's satisfaction to the network service. In the case of the network with large scale, by employing the method of the SGSN triggering a short message and directly delivering the short message to a mobile station, the air interface load of the MSC can be reduced and the network transmission efficiency can be significantly improved.
