Abstract:
Provided is a method for solubilizing crosslinked EVA, whereby it becomes possible to solubilize crosslinked EVA within a short time, e.g., within about 60 minutes. The present invention also addresses the problem of providing a method for recovering a valuable material, e.g., a metal and silicon, by solubilizing crosslinked EVA in a solar cell module containing a metal, silicon and the like within a short time by utilizing the aforementioned solubilization method. These methods are characterized in that crosslinked EVA is treated with a treatment solution, which contains, as the main components, a solvent selected from an alkyl alcohol having 5 to 12 carbon atoms and a phenol compound and an additive selected from an alkali compound, an oxo acid and an oxo acid salt and has a temperature of 100 to 300ºC, to recover the metal, silicon and the like.
