Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of the Internet. Provided are a method for stopping broadcast of an advertisement according to a time threshold, and a digital television. The method comprises: recording a time threshold for ending playing of a video; when a user ends playing of a video, starting to count time; and stopping playing of an advertisement when the time of ending the playing of the advertisement by the user is shorter than the time threshold for ending playing of a video and another video is played. In the present invention, by recording a time threshold for ending playing of a video, an advertisement is skipped when a time interval between a time point on which a user ends watching a video and a time point on which the user watches another video is shorter than a preset time, thereby improving the continuity of watching videos, and improving user experience.
