Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/140962
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This method for storing a sodium hypochlorite solution comprises adding a phosphate or phosphonate to a sodium hypochlorite solution. One or more species selected from orthophosphoric acid, tripolyphosphoric acid, polymetaphosphoric acid, phosphorous acid, and sodium salts thereof can be used as the phosphate or phosphonate. Preferably, the available chlorine concentration of the sodium hypochlorite solution is 1-30 wt%; also preferably, the amount of phosphate or phosphonate added is 0.1-5 wt% (in terms of phosphoric acid or phosphonic acid) in relation to the sodium hypochlorite solution. According to the method for storing a sodium hypochlorite solution of such description, sodium hypochlorite can be stably stored for a long time by a simple and inexpensive method.
