Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for supercharging an internal combustion engine, wherein said method involves modifying in two steps the volume of a resonator which is connected to the inlet manifold of the engine. This modification is carried out at a frequency depending on the revolution number of the engine. The minimal value of the resonator volume is set upon the opening of the inlet valve for a duration ¿$g(D)?t = (1.0 ... 0.7)t¿0?, where t¿0? is time interval during which the inlet organ of the cylinder is open. This method provides for a more efficient supercharging of an internal combustion engine.
