Abstract:
A method for supplying lubricant in cold rolling by emulsion lubrication, wherein an oil film thickness being realized by emulsion lubrication under specific rolling lubrication conditions is estimated from constants (supply efficiency) being obtained under conditions of a specific rolling speed, emulsion supply amount, emulsion concentration, emulsion temperature, plate out length, rolling material width or roll drum length, rolling load, rolling material and the type of lubricant, and the oil film thickness at the time of neat lubrication realizing under the specific rolling lubrication conditions. At least one of emulsion supply amount, emulsion concentration, emulsion temperature, and plate out length is controlled such that the estimated oil film thickness matches a target oil film thickness.
