Abstract:
The method for supporting high speed ranging during handover according to one embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for high speed ranging during handover in a portable Internet system comprising a step wherein an action time is calculated with respect to the time at which a handover confirmation (HO_Cnf) message is received at a target base station from a serving base station; and a step wherein a fast ranging message (Fast Ranging IE) is transmitted to a terminal based on the action time.
