Abstract:

There is provided a method for detecting/adjusting a synchronous motor rotor position exhibiting an excellent productivity. The method employs: a synchronous motor having a stator on which a stator coil is wound and a rotor having magnetic poles; and a rotation position detector having a sensor rotor fixed to the rotor and a sensor stator arranged to oppose to the sensor rotor for detecting the rotation position of the rotor. The method adjusts a gap amount generated between the rotation position of the synchronous motor obtained from the output of the rotation position detector and the actual synchronous motor rotation position. The method includes a step of detecting the gap amount during rotation of the synchronous motor and a step of mechanically adjusting the relative position of the rotation position detector and the synchronous motor according to the gap amount detection value.
