Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for synthesizing a contiguous tetrasubstituted carbon imine compound such as a non-natural amino acid having α, β-contiguous tetrasubstituted carbon atoms, which has an extreme steric hindrance. A method for synthesizing a contiguous tetrasubstituted carbon atom-containing imine compound, in which a compound (1) represented by formula (1) and a compound (2) represented by formula (2) are reacted with each other in the presence of a copper catalyst and an oxidant.
